"old navy" //

this album was created during a shitty portion of my life, where i felt nothing but dread and a huge period of isolation. making this album was more of a therapy session for me, and it was the only way i could heal mentally, and share to those who are feeling the same way i was. this is a cycle, no pun intended, of depression to overcoming those feelings. whoever feels like they're alone, trust me, you're not. you'll never be alone.

this album went through many stages to complete to get where we are now. it was always my intention to make it as personal as i can, but it never felt truly authentic as i was trying to revisit past memories that i suppressed until recent events that had occurred that inspired most of this album. i wanted to create an album under an illusion of happiness with the production, yet the lyrics be very noticeably down. lyrical dissonance.

funny enough, the timeline was supposed to be "cycle", "meditation" and then "old navy" as meditation was initially an EP to precede old navy but obviously things change. plus, i finished this album before meditation lol.

anyways, this is an album filled with turmoil and depression in a nutshell. every song isn't supposed to sound complete, and my intention was for it to have a very demo quality because I wanted to feel like a diary of mine. very messy and very somber. but yeah, enjoy this album. this is all feelings and emotions.
